In my work as a dance teacher I was in good shape. I worried what pregnancy would do to my body and how I could return to my job. Postnatal Body Fix made it possible for me to return to the dance class safely and with confidence. I don’t think I would have recovered this well on my own. The schedules and exercises are definitely mom-friendly (good instructions, easy and doable with almost no equipment) and although it sometimes felt hard, squeezing the 10-30 minutes of exercises into my busy day was absolutely worth it! Before the course I was a bit worried about my abdominals and I wanted to know if I had diastasis recti. I was worried about the long term consequences of the diastasis and all the changes my body had gone through. I wanted to be sure to recover after such large changes in weight and posture and I wanted to make sure I rehabilitated my pelvic floor well to avoid incontinence. I also wanted to meet other moms going through the same things as me. The course exceeded my expectations. It was great to be able to have my abdominals return to normal and I found the exercises easy to do and very effective. The only way I think this course could be improved would be having Kaisa at home making me do my exercises for the rest of my life! J My recover was fast even though I gained 16kg (35lbs) during my pregnancy. The exercises helped me get into a rhythm of adding physical activity to my daily life and finally I was also able to pay attention to my diet. In just the first phase I lost 3cm off my abdomen. I like that I learned to have consciousness of my pelvic floor and could do the exercises throughout the day while taking care of my baby.

The truth is before getting pregnant I wasn’t aware at all of the changes my body would go through besides the weight gain. I did the postnatal course to rehabilitate the internal musculature of my body and to look good again. Just in the first phase of the program, without dieting, I lost centimetres off my waist and noticed a great improvement in my pelvic floor and core. I was very pleased with the course because the muscles that at the beginning I didn’t feel or even know existed, quickly became strong with the exercises. I also very much liked learning the FLAT exercises and noticing the improvements I made weekly. What I ultimately liked most were the results I could notice in the mirror. I noticed a “remodelling” and toning of my figure. Also during the course I had lots of energy. I did the course more than anything to fix my pelvic floor that had weakened already during my first pregnancy. I had small urine leaks that I wanted to fix and I also wanted to improve my self esteem. I did the course to continue to be able to do exercise after birth. At first I found the exercises very simple and low intensity when compared to what I had been doing before birth. I didn’t think that such focused exercises could give me such great results. The results have been better than I expected! The best part for me was the exercises that directly worked the areas that were hurting from the hours I spend with my baby, for example the exercises for the low back and upper back. I was pleasantly surprised to notice that in little time I got my pre-pregnancy body back and I feel great!

I was very excited to participate in the postpartum course because I wanted to get back in shape again. The course started very gently and it made me realise what giving birth does to your body. I gained a lot of body awareness not just during the exercises but also during my daily life. The course was really good for me. The exercises were easy to do at home. I lost weight and I got back control over my abdominals and my back again.
